I am making his thread to show people how to make sprites(obviously). I am requesting a sticky.
You need paint, which can be found on any computer. Just go to start, click all programs, and it should be under accesories. To start off, you need two or more sprites-in this case, I'm using Togetic and Xatu. You need the sprites, which you will find
here.
You need to choose who will be the base, in this case, Togetic. Make sure you are zoomed in 8x. It should look like this:
Then, using the eraser and pencil tool, erase the parts that you don't want on your sprites.
The tools you will need are these:
1. Crop anything
2. Crop square
3. Eraser
4. Eye drop
5. Zoom
6. Pencil
Now crop the parts to where they should go. You now have this:
Now use the eyedroper, and get all the main colors from each pokemon from darkest to lightest, like this:
And then, left click the color you want to change, and right click the color you want to change it to with the eyedroper. Go down the line, doing one at a time. Then, hold down right button and drag it all over your sprite, till it looks like this:
Also do the same thing with the wings.
Next, you want to fix the lines around the neck and ankles and stuff.
Also, just fix some stuff you want to fix, like I changed the line where the wing touches the back, his feet, and that dot in is red triangle. I just thought that I want to recolor the triangles.
Almost last, you want to shade him. The sprites are different in shades, so there might be shadow touching a completely light spot. Fix everything.
Congratulations! You're done! Just look over everything, and try to spot any small mess-ups.
The last thing you have to do is save it. Hit Ctrl+s, and and name it. BEFORE HITTING OK, SAVE AS PNG.! PNG. can be found here:
If you save it regularly without PNG. it comes out funny, so save it as PNG. You have now made a sprite! I look forward to seeing it!
